Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Raul Plascencia, who operates Group Personality Quiz (“the app”). By creating an account or joining a group you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.

The app is a personal project offered free of charge. There is no subscription, no payment, and no service-level commitment.

You need an account to take the quiz. Give an email address you control, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

An invite link is a capability: anyone who has it can see the group’s name and join. Share it only with people you want in the group, and treat it like a key rather than a secret address. It stays valid until it is revoked. A group owner can remove members at any time, and a removed member cannot rejoin with the same link.

A group owner can also delete the group. Doing so removes it for everyone immediately and erases it permanently after 30 days, including every member’s results for that group.

You keep whatever rights you have in the names, descriptions, and answers you enter. You grant us only the permission needed to run the app: to store your content, show it to the people in your group, and compute the results the product exists to produce.

Do not enter anything you do not have the right to share.

A bug report is content you send us. We use it to fix the problem and to reply to you, nothing else.

We use analytics to see how the app is used and to find errors, and we use what we learn only to run and improve it. The Privacy Notice, linked below, lists exactly what is collected, and what never is.

Do not use the app to:

• harass, bully, impersonate, or target anybody;
• enter unlawful content, or content you have no right to enter;
• gain access to a group, account, or result that is not yours, or probe, scan, or test the security of the service;
• scrape, automate, or otherwise place load on the service beyond ordinary personal use;
• resell the service or present it as your own.

Groups are private to their members by design. Attempting to defeat that is a breach of these terms as well as, quite possibly, the law.

This matters more than the rest of this page, so it is not buried in capitals at the bottom. The quiz is entertainment. It is not a validated psychometric instrument, it was not built or reviewed by psychologists, and its archetypes are written to be fun rather than diagnostic.

Do not use it to make decisions about hiring, firing, promotion, admission, housing, credit, medical or psychological care, or anything else that affects someone’s life. It is not fit for those purposes and must not be presented as though it were.

The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It may be unavailable, may lose data, and may change or shut down without notice. Keep your own copy of anything you would miss.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and some places do not allow the exclusions above, in which case they do not apply to you.

You can stop at any time: leave your groups, delete the groups you own, or delete your account from your account settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or withdraw the service entirely.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the app after a material change means you accept it. If you do not, stop using the app and delete your account.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
